This application for permanent residence is managed by the IRCC. The federal government makes final decisions on these applications.
British Columbia’s economic growth depends on having enough skilled and qualified people to meet their labor market needs. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a way for high-demand foreign workers and experienced entrepreneurs to gain permanent residency in B.C.
The BC Provincial Nominee Program offers three ways to become a permanent resident in B.C. Each pathway contains different categories you can apply under, depending on your National Occupational Classification(NOC) skill level, job, or international student status. The 3 categories are:
1. Skills Immigration
2. Express Entry BC
3. Entrepreneur Immigration
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) seeks recent graduates, skilled workers, businesspeople and their families with the intention and ability to successfully settle and economically establish in Manitoba as permanent residents.
Manitoba makes it easy to immigrate and settle in the province. The MPNP for Skilled Workers is locally driven and based on the needs of Manitoba employers. They select internationally trained and experienced workers who have the skills needed in the local labor market, and nominate them to receive Canadian permanent resident visas to settle and work in Manitoba. There are two streams under this program:
This program is designed for Foreign Nationals who possess the skills, education and work experience needed to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy. Candidates must meet the program’s minimum eligibility requirements, have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick Employer and have the full intent to live and work in the province on a permanent basis.
This program will also help New Brunswick employers who are unable to fill job vacancies with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, recruit foreign nationals and international graduates whose skills are needed in the provinces.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) allows the Province to nominate applicants who meet the criteria for Permanent Resident Status
The NLPNP offers:
Newfoundland and Labrador may nominate up to 1,050 individuals annually through the NLPNP, through the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Express Entry-Skilled Worker categories
The NLPNP is an economic immigration program designed to assist skilled immigrants and their families to come and live and work in Newfoundland and Labrador. Applicants must meet certain criteria like having a job offer, the ability to economically establish and have an intention to reside in the province, in order to be nominated for permanent residency.
This program provides applicants with a dedicated immigration officer who will remain available to explain the program requirements and processes until nominees receive their permanent residence status.
Through the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP), prospective immigrants who have the skills and experience targeted by Nova Scotia may be nominated to immigrate.
The process depends on the NSNP stream you qualify for. The different NSNP streams available to apply are:
The processing time for eligible applications can be 3 months or more. Within 6 months of receiving your nominee certificate, apply to IRCC for your permanent resident visa. You and your spouse and dependents must meet all requirements for medical, security and criminal admissibility. In some cases you may be asked to go for an interview. CIC has the final authority to issue a permanent resident visa.
The Program (OINP) is the province’s economic immigration program. It works in partnership with the Government of Canada through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Foreign workers, international students and others with the right skills, experience and education apply to the OINP for a nomination
The OINP recognizes and nominates people for permanent residence who have the skills and experience the Ontario economy needs, and the Canadian Government makes the final decision to approve applications for permanent residence. There are three ways you may qualify for a nomination:
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominates individuals to the federal government for permanent residency.
